Manipulation of pivot from a different Sheet?

Hi people, I have a (maybe stupid) question.

I want to be able to manipulate the filter of a pivot table in a different sheet.

To explain that in a better way, I have a pivot table that has as a report filter the date and from that pivot table I have in the same sheet some formulas that calculate various stuff, as this is difficult for people to use and they do not need all that information I have copied in a new sheet just 2 columns and I want to be able in that new sheet to manipulate the Filter.

Is this possible?
