Hello All
I have built a pivot table that has a date field in the filter section, is there anyway to have the dates grouped in the filter drop down as it does when using autofilter? i.e. years with an expand button, then months, then days

One suggestion is to use some helper columns in the source data to compute Year (=Year(Date)) and Month (=Text(Date,"mmm")). Then assign slicers instead of filters since slicers are self-cascading.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
you cannot change the filter of the pivot but timeline might be a good alternative
