Gantt chart - won't display data prior to todays date

    Hello.
I would really appreciate someones help / expertise in resolving an issue I have with an excel gantt chart. It's setup to show days to start, start date, completion, end date and slippage. Unfortunately, in getting the days to start to display correctly, everything runs from today(). When a task start date falls before today, it is effectively deleted from the chart. I have no idea how to fix this! Please help!

I've copied a picture below. You'll see that task D in the first section is only showing from today's date despite starting on the 10th March.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks

    Jonathan

Can you attach the spreadsheet itself? I suspect that column H is calling TODAY() or something to create the zero-axis for the chart, and then I:M are stacked on top of it. But I'm not sure, and can't be without digging into source.

Re: Gantt chart - won't display data prior to todays date

Thank you for the quick response. It won't let me attach the file unfortunately, nor paste a link to the file until I have posted a few times.

Column H is =today() formula yes. When I change it to the project start date, the stacking doesn't work (the activities appear to start early), nor the days to start.

    Thank you again!

ps. if it lets me reply with a link after this, I shall.

    Hmm... try this.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    and pull H5 down.

That will (probably) start the chart axis at the earliest start date at of any particular task.

You might need to adjust the math of column I, but I think it should just be something like:
