Pivot Table with blank fields - odd results

    Good day all,

I am attempting to create a pivot table, however the result ends up being rather "messy" and not quite what I was looking to achieve. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong, my suspicion is that because of the formulas used, and the results are blank (or rather "")

    Attached is the file.

As you will see on the "Input" sheet, I fill in columns A through F, and the sheet will mark columns G through J as appropriate.

My issue comes in when I create my "Summary" sheet.

I am attempting to get a count by System of each category (Columns G through J).

As you will see on the top of the "Summary" sheet, on the table that I created it is giving me a count of every system for every category.

What I was expecting to find is in the table below that.

I attempted to manipulate the table, however I was unsuccessful.

I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue.

    Thank you.

Change the "X" to 1, not in quotes. Then, in the Pivot Table, change the Value field settings for each value to Count Numbers.
