Hello and appreciate any help that can be offered. I have a large spreadsheet of items with sales that have grouped into 3 categories. I have a pivot where I summarized % sales volume and % of skus (items). I am trying to reflect this data in a chart like the one I have pictured attached but can not figure out how to do this. I am using Excel 2016. Thank you.
You can use a combination of stacked area and area chart.
the stacked horiztonal bands can be done using a stacked area with 2 datapoints for each band, in order to fill across the plot area.
add another series and move to the secondary axis. Make it a area chart.
Enable both secondary axes.
format secondary horizontal axis to be dates, with the max set to 100, which in date format is 9/Apr/1900.
Set secondary vertical axis to cross at automatic rather than maximum.
The area will then cover the bands as per you example.
