    Three pies in pie chart

Is there a way to create a pie chart with three main areas and then, have pie charts within a pie chart connected to each of those areas. I saw a pie chart with the option for one pie chart it seemed to come out of it (pie in pie).
Attached is my data. The main pie would be E-F 7-9 and each of the associated pie charts are in columns I and J (with the matching main pie label in H).

    Thank you!

Re: Three pies in pie chart

After a day, I will note that I don't see an easy way to get Excel to easily and automatically combine three "pie of pie" charts like you are describing. Considering that many in the field of charting and visualization don't even like pie charts to begin with(Wikipedia has a discussion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pie_ch..._effectiveness ), I might ask if you are required to use pie charts for this? I would probably be inclined towards something like a stacked bar/column chart for something like this rather than a pie chart.

Re: Three pies in pie chart

The only builtin chart types to automatically display your data are the new Treemap or Sunburst charts.

If you really wanted pies you would need to use multiple chart objects, each containing a single pie.

MrShorty's suggestion of stacked bar/column is probably the best approach.

Thank you! Will change to stacked chart - and probably will open a new thread because when I tried it didn't look great.
