How to calculate values from chart

    Hello,
I'm writing to you with (I hope) simple problem. My knowledge about Excel is really, really small, so please don't judge me.
This is my chart and some data (not in english, but this shouldn't matter):
    problem.png

The 'x' coordinate is column C called Ranga (Rank)
    The 'y' coordinate is column I or J (values from 0 to 1) called Wygrane/Rozgrywki (GamesWon/Games)

My problem is, how to find the highest common value for those two charts, which I marked with a green arrow? I'm interested in finding value of 'x' coordinate (Rank).

    Thanks for help!

Welcome to the Forum obeeey !

First, we allow attaching files. Pictures are of limited help. Please attach your actual file. The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

This problem is not simple but it is straightforward. This requires a little algebra to interpolate the intersecting point, because the point where these curves intersect is not one of points given in the data. Given the nature of these curves and the short distance between the points I would recommend linear interpolation, although another method may be more precise.

It's also a bit tricky to even determine what is the highest intersection point (highest meaning highest y value). You have to compare each pair of two points to the next pair to determine if the lines intersect between those two pairs of points, then determine which one has the highest y value.

I do not have a ready-made solution but I could work on it with your file, as could many other folks here.
