Scatterplot: Y-axis is score, X-axis is four categories. How do I do this?

    Hi,
I want to visually compare four categories of numerical data.
    See dummy file attached.
The data is cognitive test results ranging theoretically from about 50 to 150.
There are four categories: verbal, nonverbal, speed, and attention.
I want to show these categories on the x-axis.
The y-axis will show numerical labels 50 to 150 with every 10 points indicated.
I want the data for verbal scores to be plotted individually above the verbal label.
I want the data for nonverbal scores to be plotted individually above the nonverbal label, and so on.
If two people have the same verbal score, I want it so they are plotted one on top of the other above the "verbal" label.
I want to visually compare the different groups.
Scatterplots in Excel appears to assume I want to correlate one value with another.
I *don't* want to correlate anything.
    How do I do this?
    Would appreciate any help.
    Regards,
    Dougal

Why a scatter plot and not a line chart?

Oh, yeah. Thanks MrShorty. That's closer to what I want.
I'm playing around with it now.
Is there a way to get rid of the lines? Just have the dots?

Select a series -> format series -> wherever your Excel version hides the line options, select "no line". Repeat for all series.

Thanks again. I saw the same solution just now.
Is there a way to do a bulk edit?
I have about 100 series. Would rather not do individually.

Unfortunately, I am unaware of any "bulk" edit solution.

You can format one series to remove the line, then try using the Redo command through the other 100 series. Tedious, but should work just fine.

You can write a VBA macro that will loop through every series and remove the line from each series.

If this is something you will do frequently, there could be value in saving the chart template, so you can have a "line chart -> markers without lines subtype" template for future use. https://support.office.com/en-us/art...6-9F5E55187F2A

That's all I've got for that problem.

Thanks MrShorty. Very helpful. I’ll give it a go.
    Thanks again.
