    Functions/Formula within a Pivot Table

Hi looking for some help out to insert a formula that would calculate the percentage of column D from the total of column C + D. Tried messing around with functions and was getting nowhere. Would really appreciate any help.

    Thanks

Hi Cyrus and welcome to the forum,

I'm not sure what D5/(C16+D16) would show you as a statistic.
If you want to show Percent growth from one number to the next by column in the rows the right click on any number in the Pivot and the on "Show Values As". Pick the one that says "Percent Of.." and click ok and select "previous" and then "Appointment Result".

This would make more sense to me on what you are looking for.

Hi Marvin thanks for the response. My apologies if I was not clear I would be looking for the % of D5/(C5+D5) in a column next to it.

    Yes, kind of...

You can do a percent of the number to the left in that other column and same row. It doesn't take the total of column C and D but I can't understand what that would mean either. Play with a simple table and find the "Show Values As" and the the "% of ..." Then look at the top for "Previous" and then use the column name. See if that doesn't do what you really want.

These are results to appointments and we want to see how many of the qualified ones column C and D are becoming sales which are left in D by salesperson.

This is what it looks like when I copy the pivot table and start adding formulas doesn't take that long but when you are doing this multiple times a week it adds up.
