Dont show empty cells in chart

You would need to change the layout of your data, as per attached.

Format the series to have 100% overlap.
I have included multilevel category labels so the separation by year is more obvious.

This style of cluster, where series points are removed, can make it difficult to interrupt do to the unmatched clusters.
