Power Pivot. My model will not update when I add column from my database

    Hi,

I am using excel 2016 and I am getting external connection from "other source".
I have my data in excel table (Data A).

I create my pivot (Pivot Model A), everything is ok.
I add data to update my source (Data A), every month.
    Everything is ok.

Now I want to add column to Data A, I know I can do it when I have import the data to my Pivot Model A.
But somehow I think it is better to do it where I store my data (Data A).

    My problem is this,
When I add column in Data A the column will not appear in Pivot Model A.

My Data A, has five column.
    A,B,C,D,E

    I Add new column between D and E. E will be F.
So my new Data A is
    A,B,C,D,E (new) ,F (was E before)

    But Pivot Model shows only
    A,B,C,D,E

Why do I want to store this is in Data A?
I am still improving my Pivot Model so I create new one from beginning each year.
I use my old Data xlsx file as a sample when I create a new one every year.
I have also Data B, Data C etc.

I am also new to Power Query. But what I will do is to click through each of the Applied Steps in Query Settings to see when the column goes missing and fix that step. Your newly added column will go missing if you use Remove Other Columns.

Question is if you go to PQ at the first steps, is the new column loaded or not?

Another issue could be how the DATA A is defined, if you load the whole sheet or just a defined name or table inside the sheet.
Without having the files its just a guess.
