    Box Plots settings

Is it possible to change the default series settings for Box plots, or to at least have all series have the same settings? I referring to the settings that indicate "inclusive or exclusive" and whether or not to include internal data points.

With a Box Plot (box and whisker chart), you can see the distribution of numbers in data. ... Excel 2013 doesn't have a Box Plot chart type,
but you can create your own version, by adding calculations to the worksheet, and using a Stacked Column chart type, with error bars.

I'm using Excel 2016, and it does have box and whisker charts now. They are just not too flexible in formatting, which is what my question is about.

    Thanks

According to the help file (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...8-4743f6190f0d ), the "inclusive/exclusive median" setting is just a radio button in the "format data series" dialog. Is that what you are looking for, or are you looking for something else?

What I was trying to find is a way to set/change the properties (e.g., "inclusive/exclusive") for all of the series at once, instead of having to do it for each one separately.

    Re: Box Plots settings

I have never used 2016, so I am not sure what options are available. If it behaves like earlier versions of Excel, previous versions do not have a ready made, built in way to change a single property of multiple series in one command (except maybe for the "change chart type" command). Possible options I see for this:

    1) If Excel has provided the "inclusive" and "exclusive" options as two separate box chart chart types, then you can try switching between the two chart types. If they are not built in and Excel 2016 still supports "user defined chart templates", then you might be able to create two chart templates and switch between the two types that way. Since I don't know what is available in 2016 in this regard, someone else will need to comment.

    2) There is a new option in your version of Excel that allows you to change a property of multiple series in one command. Someone else will need to comment on this possibility.

    3) When all other options are exhausted, then you can write your own VBA macro that will loop through the series in the series collection and change this property of each series. I don't know exactly what that looks like for these specialty chart types.

I am also having this same issue. I would like to change the default setting from exclusive to inclusive. If that isn't possible, I'd at least like to be able to change the setting for all of the series at once, instead of having to do it for each one separately. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!
