    Pivot table will not sort

    Hi

I am trying to sort the attached pivot table by column E - Current Month % of target achieved - descending from highest % to lowest. But for some reason it is just not working. I also want it to auto update the order as the source data changes.

    Please can someone advise?

    Thanks

Re: Pivot table will not sort

you have not added anything into the DATA section
i added the SUM of the %
    and sorted
does that work, or is summing a problem ?

Re: Pivot table will not sort

Thank you for doing that. But when i try to resort descending to ascending, it is still not working for me. The sort option is greyed out. Please can you tell me what steps you took to do the sort?

Re: Pivot table will not sort

you can see the layout in this screenshot

In the VALUES I have put the %

    then on the pivot table
    Clicked on the ROW LABELS

I get the box as shown

then I can choose what field to sort by , desc or asc

    does that help at all

Red face Re: Pivot table will not sort

Click on the filter symbol by the “Row Labels” column header - see Picture 1

    Choose “More sort options”
Then choose “Descending ( Z to A) by:” click to select “Sum of current month % target achieved” - see Picture 2

The result should look like what shown in Picture3
