Consolidate Multiple Columns into 1 in Pivot Table

    Hi,

I'm trying to create a pivot table from data set out in the format attached, on the "Data" tab.

I'd like the final pivot to have either of the formats set out on the "Pivot Format" tab attached.

Essentially, what I need to see is all of the Order Quantities in 1 column, all Order Dates in 2nd column, all Order Months in 3rd column and all Order Fin Years in 4th column - and all still referenced to their Part Number.

I'd like to be able to automate this as much as possible - in the real data source, there will be a few thousand lines of data. This will also be used by other members of my team, so needs to be something easy for them to update/use.

    Thanks,

    Lisa

Power Query is a free AddIn for Excel 2010 and 2013, and is built-in functionality from Excel 2016 onwards (where it is referred to as "Get & Transform Data").

It is a powerful yet simple way of getting, changing and using data from a broad variety of sources, creating steps which may be easily repeated and refreshed. I strongly recommend learning how to use Power Query - it's among the most powerful functionalities of Excel.
