Grouping by dates and multiple ranges

    Hi All

Apologies as I'm awful at Pivots. I have data I want to group in a pivot table. The data is as follows:

    Reference | Logged | Closed | ClosedFlag

Reference and Logged will always have data - Reference is general, and Logged is a date/time.
Closed is a date but may be blank.
ClosedFlag is 1 if a closed date exists, and 0 if not.

I want a table that groups the lines by logged date with a count, but counts any items that have a closed date on that date as well. So e.g.

    01/11/2021 | 15 | 13
    02/11/2021 | 12 | 3

    etc

I have no idea how to go about this. It's complicated by the fact I have two tables (same headers and data), and I'd like to consolidate these in 1 table.

Any ideas if this is even possible?

    TIA

    Si

    Hi,

    sample data will help.
2 tables can be easy joined by PQ or datamodel in O365.

The pivot table is, from what i can read, basic function. Showing just count for the values. If you are not familiary with Pivot tables, I suggest you watch some training videos on youtube or some blogs, they help a lot.

For PQ and Datamodel, upload a sample file
