Is there a way to make the chart plots nothing from data of formulated cells?

    Hi All,

Is there a way to make the chart plots nothing from data of formulated cells?

As shown in the chart, the yellow line comes from data from another page while the other three lines represent data on the same page. (The problem is the difference in formula but not the page, though) As you can see, the yellow plot stops in the middle while the other three plots go through the whole domain.

The data from the first page are plain numbers, plain values. The empty cells are really empty, and I think it is why the yellow line does not plot anything from the empty cells. And this is what I want to achieve. The data from the second page are generated from formulas. The empty cells are not really empty, they contain formulas but ended up not having a value as the results of the formula. And I think it is why the non-yellow lines plot zero for the "empty" cells.

I am looking for a way to make excel plot nothing instead of zero for the data on the second page, without deleting the formula. If anyone could help it would be awesome. thanks!

From what I have seen, this is the best essay on charting "empty" cells for different chart types: https://peltiertech.com/mind-the-gap...g-empty-cells/

Edit to add this follow up post that explores a new "plot N/A as blank" feature: https://peltiertech.com/plot-blank-c...-excel-charts/

    Hi MrShorty,

Thanks for the reply. I will take a look into it. On the other hand, do you know why the vertical axis of the chart is missing? The axis is certainly enabled and my charts on other sheets seem to be working fine, so I am not sure what happened on this.
The problem belongs to the same file, so I thought it would be better to stay in the same thread/post anyway.

When I open the file in my older version and select the vertical axis and look at the formatting options, I see that the axis is formatted to have no line and the axis labels are number formatted as ";;;" -- effectively displaying no numbers. So, while the axis was present, it appears to effectively be formatted as "invisible."
