I am very unskilled in charting and have to present a view of how Admin salaries have not kept up with Client or Direct Delivery salaries for a few years. Within each of these broad categories are smaller programs.
Since salaries can vary wildly between the differnt programs (floor sweepers make much less than nuclear physicists) I don't want to chart just the bare salaries, but thought instead to chart the rise percentage.
So, I've done calculations of the average salaries by year, and the average percentage rise in salaries, putting zero for where the average salary lowered (for instance, if a 20 year veteran making $70K per year retired, and a new guy making $40K came in, the average goes down, especially if there are few FTEs in that program).
So, I have the data, but am at a loss as to how to present it to a nonTechnical supervisor, and how to arrange the data to chart it.
I've attached my data and hope someone can help me get started. Thanks in advance for any help.
