Excel Chart, How to customize axis units as desired (not excel standard)

Dear All,

I have a chart, min value 500 and max value 50000.
I need to show y axis as:

1000
2500
5000
10000
15000
20000
25000
30000
40000
50000

Is it possible?

PS: My best solution is to use :

primary unit as 1500
lowest value is 500
max value is 50000

I'm not aware of any "built in" way to do this. The technique I would expect to use is to add a data series and use that series's data labels.
