Workout Tracking Sheet - Optimizing Plotting

    Hi All,

I am building a spreadsheet to help track my workouts and progress. Overall, I have made a sheet that I really like (see screenshots), but I am having one key issue. I want to track progress for individual exercises overtime, but I cannot seem to find a good way of plotting it in excel. I have attached an example dataset of what I am trying to plot (in the sample workbook and screenshot), as well as a screenshot of what I did previously in Google Sheets.

The main issues I am having are:
    1. How to format dates properly. If i select columns that are blank, it does not format the dates correctly. If I only select columns that have data, then I have to change the data every single day, which I refuse to do.
    2. I have to manually add each series (or each exercise). I do not want to have to do that everytime I do a new exercise. How can I can I plot this data such that it autogenerates a new series everytime I do a new exercise?

    Thanks everyone for the help!

The pictures are too small to make any sense of. Suggest you tell us what you are trying to do in detail. Also, you may want to upload the pictures as files so that we can read them.

From the file, I can tell you that you need to normalize your data if you wish to do any type of analysis. This means that you need to unpivot the data or redesign your tracking to a normalized fashion.
