I am wondering if it is possible to create a pivot table and add slicers but keep one of the columns(field values) static while the remaining work dynamically with the slicers. Such as the following.
In the field settings I have
Rows
1 Retailer name:
Columns
1 total original quantity ordered
2 quantity being ship to warehouse
Slicers
1 brand of product (3 brand names)
2 retailer requested receiving date
3 ETA to warehouse date
How I'm looking for this to work is that original quantity order will always stay the total sum. Then when you use the slice and pick dates only the ship to warehouse quantity would change. That way I can see that for retailer A that ordered 20 units and I can track the project date to the warehouse what % of that order will be filled on certain dates. For example on the 7/1 10 units are projected to be at the warehouse so I know that 50% of the order will be filled on 7/1.
I have all the data, and it?s all correct in the pivot table, but it just that the slicer is attached to all columns (field values) in the pivot table. I?m looking to have the slicers disconnect to the total original quantity ordered, yet remain attached to quantity being shipped to warehouse.
I don?t see any way to independently associate a slicer with specific columns. And I can?t think of any way to get there from another avenue.
In the original data, I have order numbers, upc numbers, quantity order and dates. On both order data sheet and inbound freight data sheet. I used sumifs and index match to bring the data from the inbound freight into order data (quantity being shipped and ETA to warehouse). Two new columns.
It?s a one to many relationship. I can have order #1 that has many upc numbers that has serveal delivery request dates and ETA to warehouse on different dates.
Everything works fine except for the slicers changing the original order quantity
