Powerquery date relationship not working

Hi there,
i have downloaded some information in powerquery and have then pivoted this data.
very simply i wanted to compare the information and show % difference by month. This obviously causes a problem when looking at Jan 24 vs Dec 23.
A way around this is using the MMM-YYYY function in the dates proforma. – So I linked my dates with the date on the proforma and got the following pivot table.
It matches all 23 data but fails to do it for 24???????? All my dates are from the same source, they are all UK and I have checked for blanks or errors, as well as checking the locale to UK.

Has anyone seen this or can think of why this is happening?

I didnt want to load my file as it contained sensitive data. And when i recreated with a temporary file it worked(?!)
I managed a workaround with a eomonth field on the main data set.
