I am having trouble with my chart
I want it to not update for dates that are in the future, but it's showing zero for those dates in the future
in sheet BAL column A is being chosen for the x axis and column T for the y axis
but future days are zero instead of not showing up on the chart
when I delete future cells in column T then the chart behaves like it's supposed to
PLEASE HELP THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING ME.

Change "" in column T formula to NA().
You could use AutoFilter to hide the rows with "blank" entries.

I failed to mention in the first post that I desire to have the cells visually blank as well.
Putting NA() or NA# fixes the chart but I need it visually blank as well
this is annoying me to worse than a flat tire
It shouldn't annoy you too much, flat tyres are only flat at the bottom!!! Use:
=IF(A2<TODAY(),C2+K2-R2,NA())
and then use Conditional Formatting to hide the #N/A errors

Why do we have to do this conditional formatting?
Is this going to make every cell that has an error come up blank?
I don't want that either
Just the specific cells that has the error return.
Only thise cells in column T ( i formatted it down to row 1000) will be blank.
You have to have it to avoid seeing the #N/A errors, which is what you said you wanted

Getting angry will solve nothing. I showed you what to do in the image. I chose white as the font colour, which you will not then see in the cells.
Was it working OK in the file I posted?

Another option is to use dynamic named range.
BALANCE =OFFSET('BAL (2)'!$T$2:$T$367,,,COUNTIF('BAL (2)'!$T$2:$T$367,">0"))
How did you do this?
Is the chart pointing to the balance equation on the same page as the chart?
Created the named-range "BALANCE" under > Formulas > Name Manager. The name-ranged "BALANCE" refers to column T.
Wow I had no idea this existed.......this is interesting........so is this formula connected to the one you wrote on the sheet with the charts or were you just putting it there for reference?
It is connected. Try changing some values and adding new ones below in column T and you will notice the chart changes.
