Trying to do a % of another column in pivot table but it just gives N/A's.

    Hi,

I am trying to do a % of a column in a pivot on excel. I tried to do this by right clicking on the cell in the pivot table, then 'show values as', 'more options', '% of'. When I have tried to do this it brings through N/A's and does not do a % of.

I have inserted a picture so you can see what I was trying to do. I am trying to do column 'F' as a % of column 'C'.

Is somebody able to assist please?

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

You just need a calculated field dividing one field by the other, then format as a percentage. See attached.

And if you want to transform the #DIV/0! erro into 0 use the formula bellow.

    =IFERROR('Variance Qty'/'BOM Requirement with Scrap %',0)

Or you can use the pivot table options to display whatever you like for errors.
