Help with creating chart - multiple values stacked with multiple sections

    Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help with creating a graph for a client to show their manufacturing / order capacity. It needs to be a stacked column where all 3 values add up to 100%, broken down by department and grouped by month. I have attached a spreadsheet with sample data and included a mock up of how I'd like the graph to work.

    Here it is for reference...

Hopefully someone can work their magic and help me out

    Thank you!

Over the years, I've found that a substantial part of creating charts in Excel is arranging data in the spreadsheet. Are you allowed to rearrange the data? Are these the source data, or is this a kind of pivot or summary table from a different source?

If you can rearrange the data so that your left two columns contain month and dept ID information, with three adjacent columns for outstanding, addon, and available information, then you should be able to easily create a 100% stacked column chart:

I haven't described in detail how to rearrange the data, since that will depend on exactly how you receive the data, how you bring the data into Excel, and how you want to interact with the data. However you like to do it, if you can rearrange the data as described, the 100% stacked column chart will almost create itself.
