Stacked bar chart and 30 days months for a project schedule

    Hello,

I am a new member in this forum and I am learning Excel. Could you help me with stacked bar timeline problem?

I am trying to make a multi year project schelude (starting from 01/01/22 and ending about 31/12/25) where a project month should be 30 days long. Therefore I put manor units to 360 days and minor units to 30. The problem is that x-axis does not follow my idea because it is based on calendar dates. At first, I tried monthly x-axis labels (mm/yy) but it gave 01/22 and again 01/22 because the first day is 01/01/22 and the second is 31/01/22 when using 30 days units. Similarly yyyy format in the x-axis gives labels 2022 - 2022 - 2023 - 2024. You can see this in the demo (including two sheets: Data and Chart) I have attached:

    demo.xlsx

My question is: is it possible to modify x-axis labels manually?

    If x-axis would be in yyyy format there should be labels 2022 - 2023 - 2024 - 2025.
    Or in the mm/yy format there should be 01/22 - 02/22 - 03/22 - 04/22 - 05/22 - 06/22 and so on.

    Thank you!

    Welcome to the forum.

Why over-complicate it? What's the problem working with the real calendar?

    Thank you.

Well the current one is quite manual. So I thought could it be improved in some way.

You can create a GANTT chart automatically, but that manual set-up is not in the sample workbook.

Please attach a fresh sample workbook.

I still fail to see why you feel the need to change the calendar. Perhaps you wouldn't mind actually answering that question, as it may help us to hep you.
