show results of two pivot charts

I have two sets of data ranging from 2000 to 2006 split into monthly totals
One set relates to Units produced per month; the other to units sold per month

I want to show both sets of data in a Pivot table together on one linear
    pivot chart.

Anybody know how I can manage this ?

    thanks

In the first step of the PivotTable wizard, use the 'Multiple consolidation
ranges' option. In the next step you will be asked about page fields.
Select the 'I will create the page fields' option. In the next step, add as
many ranges as you want -- well, in your case that will be two. Select the
first table (months and unit sales columns ) and click Add. Then, select the
2nd table (months and sales$ columns). and click add. Make sure you set the
'How many page fields do you want?' to zero.

The rest is like any other PT.

Thank you for your reply, Tushar. Unfortunately the result of your answer is
to consolidate both ranges of data and show the accumulated result as a
    single linear chart.
My requirement is to show both data ranges as separate linear graphs on the
one page so that comparisons can be shown , graphically, between the two
    ranges.

Thank you for your hepl and perhaps I may not have expressed my problem
    fully in the first instance.

Well, then you changed your requirements from your original post in which you
stated you wanted a single chart: "I want to show both sets of data in a
Pivot table together on one linear pivot chart."

If all you want is to get two charts on one page, create the separate
PivotTables and charts. Then, for each chart, set the location to be the
same worksheet (use Chart | Location...). Now, both charts will be objects
in the same worksheet and you can adjust their appearance to suit your taste.
