Hi,
Double click one of the sets of bars. On the Pattern tab of the format
dialog click Fill Effects. On the Gradient Tab set Colors = Two Colors.
Shading style = Horizontal and Variants is bottom left one.

Paula:
Assuming a bar chart, select the series by right clicking, choose Format
Data Series.. and open the Patterns Tab. On the Area section click "Fill
Effects .." and the rest is automatic I gather.
Same principle can be applied to other chart types (Column, Area, ..)
