    Logarithmic x-axis

I have chart with a logarithmic x-axis and data from 200Hz to 20kHz ie. 2 dedcades. When plotting the data I have to choose the x-axis from 100Hz to 100kHz, ie. 3 decades.
It a little waste of precios space, so I would like to know if there is a way to choose other limits than powers of 10?

Not as an option built into the Chart. You can simulate the effect using dummy series and such. See Jon Peltier's site http://www.peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/index.html

Other graphing utilities (I recently tried DPlot, which worked pretty well. My co-workers like to use Grapher) will have this as a readily selectable option if not automatic.

Ah yes, dummy series is of course a solution. Thanks for the tip.
