Showing individual data points in bar graphs

Rather than add error bars to a bar graph, I want to show the individual data points for each bar. In other words, rather than an error bar there would be a column of dots lined up, each dot representing a data point. Can this be done in Excel? I cannot find any (obvious) way to do it. Thanks.
