Question How to Prevent Overlapping Stacks

    Hi.

can any please advise me how I can prevent overlapping stacks when I add a Secondary Access ? Basically what I want to do is to have the same scale e.g. 0 to 350 in 50 increments on both the Primary Axis and the Secondary Axis, however, when I turn on the Secondary Axis the Stacks overlap !!

Any help on this mater would be greatly appreciated (please see attached example)

    Excel version 2003

    Many thanks

    Try this,

Select your first data series and go to Format > Options and set the Overlap to -100, gap width zero

Then select the third series and set the Overlap to zero and the Gap width to 250

    Question Stacks Still Overlapping

    oldchippy,

thanks for you help but my stacks are now twice as wide as there were before and the chart is now very cluttered.

Is there a way to alter the physical width of the stack ??

    Many thanks

    Hi,

when building the chart through the wizard did you select under the axis tab
'catagory' rather than the defalt 'Automatic', this sometimes helps as there is no way to resize then pyshically like a autoshape. Otherwise you will have to fiddle with the settings as OldChippy suggested. You will also find the Axis tab under the Chart Options right click menu.

    Hope It helps
