Join point, between a missing data, together in "line with markers" chart

If you create a "line with markers" chart and one data is missing, how can you do to join together the data between that missing one together?

For example, if the y is missing for x=5, excel will automatically create a hole between x=4 and x=6, by doing so your graphic is like cut in twice. How can you do to make a line between x=4 and x=6 (without just drawing a line)?

If you have problem understanding me, please say so so i can upload a screenshot
    thanks.
