moving the X - axis data labels on a bar chart

    Hi,

I have a simple bar chart with positive and negative values. I need the X axis (dates) to meet the Y axis (£'s) at zero, but require the date labels on the x axis to appear at the bottom of the chart, wheras the default is at Y=0. Future data may be all positive or all negative.

    thanks.

    Bob

    Hi Bob,

This is how you should configure your chart:
    1. right-click the X-axis
    2. select Format Axis
    3. select the 'pattern' tab
    4. In the bottom right section of the tab you can indicate where to put your labels. Select Low here

    That should do the thrick

    Hope this helps
    J.

    welcome sir:D

There a loads of things you can configure in a chart.
I would advise that you try to find yourself a good reference that describes all these possibilites (not specifically the online help, but an ebook or maybe at the microsoft website). It really helped me out in the past

    Good luck
