Excel Graph Help

Hi,

I am trying to create a graph using two columns of data (from a spreadsheet which has about 8 columns).

One column is status which is either "closed" or "open" and the other is date.

What I need to do is show the data along the bottom and then show two lines on a line graph one for "closed" and one for "open" with the amount of items that are in each status at the dates.

Please can someone help.
