Labelling a Scatter Plot

I have a series of points that I'm plotting on an XY (Scatter) chart. The data is in columns (column B and C), and there is a label to the left of each set of points (column A). I'd like to label each of the points using the value in column A. For example

Name Value1 Value2
a 1 1
b 2 1
c 3 2
d 1 3

So I would have 4 points on the chart, with each one labelled with its name. I can get the chart to display the points, but can't figure out how to label them.

... I was able to get them to label if each set of points is it's own series, but I've got over 100 points so that doesn't work well as a long term solution (and there was a limit to the number of series that it let me add anyway).
