Centrally align 2D stacked bar chart

Good morning everyone, this is my first post here so please be gentle and apologies for any noob questions.

Ok, I have 2d stacked bar chart that at present looks a bit like this:

CATEGORY x
CATEGORY xxx
CATEGORY xxxxx
% (broken down into 6 sections)

However, I would like this be pyramidal - so rather than hugging the y axis, the y axis is central and the data is spread around this central axis.

I have attempted dividing the data in two and using +/- values but unfortunately, the 6 sections need to be kept together rather.

Is this possible in excel as it has been driving me mad! Even if anyone has any ideas how I could achieve this pyramidal effect, that would be great.

Apoplogies for the dodgy design of what I would like the chart to resemble!

I think I have to create a tornado chart of some sort...but I am finding this difficult to align the data series around the axis.

Yes the horizontal is rendered a little useless but as you say, the base data set gives something to compare to...as long as the proportions stay the same and are centred, then that's grand!

Now I have to try and work out what you did!

Oh I see what you have done, inserted a dummy padding number...simple but genius and I can't believe I didn't figure that out myself!!!
