Hi,
Change the format of your data to look like this:
customer 2007 2008
A 1000 6000
B 2000 7000
C 3000 8000
D 4000 9000
E 5000 10000
Then select the data and press F11 to generate the chart.
Rule 1: Never merge cells
Rule 2: See rule 1

Thanks for your prompt reply, I followed your step and it is amazing. managed to created the chart, however, it looks very untidy and confussing. Pls take a look at my attached file. Thanks a million.
Try using a Line chart and plot months on the X axis with a line for each company.
Hopefully this is only test data

Hope you dont mind to elaborate further. I clicked chart type to Line then everthing went wrong.
