Pie chart to summarise data

Hello all

My question is this; if I have a column which lists whether the person is female or male, how would I then turn that information in to a pie chart giving the percentage of male to female users? Is it even possible?

Would I need to first do a formula to find out the percentages then use them to create the chart instead?
