    Automatically up-dating charts.

    Hi all,

Can excel automatically up-date a charts source data when new rows of data are added.

For example, I have a chart which reads the current year to the last month end. Every month I add new data and would like the charts to automatically include this. What I do not want is empty rows on the chart.

    Thanks.

Without knowing more (like where the data is, how it's updated, how it's stored) it's hard to given a definitive answer but I would certainly suggest you have a look into the possibility of using dynamic named ranges: see http://www.cpearson.com/excel/named.htm for more info and a couple of examples (of which there are plenty on line)

Another link for you -- specifically related to dynamic charting: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...umnChart1.html

Be sure to check out Andy Pope's site also: http://www.andypope.info/
