How do I make a graph that looks like this...

This graph was created in a very ancient version of Statistica. Unfortunately, it is wrong and I need to fix it, except not only do I have no clue how to use Statistica, I also have no clue how to use Excel. I'm not sure which I'm most clueless about. The data is sitting in an Excel (2007) spreadsheet right now, all nicely sorted, so I figured I would try to recreate the corrected graph in there. But I have no clue how. I don't even know what this type of graph is called so I don't even know how to find help.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just to describe the graph using appropriate terms so that I can at least start googling with some appropriate keywords. (oh and no, I didn't create the incorrect graph. Boy my life sure would be easier if I had seen the steps taken to create the incorrect one.)

    Thanks in advance.

Would something like this help you get started?

The pic you posted actually looks a lot like the stock charts, but I don't have a clue how those work yet.

If that won't help you, check out "Volume high low close" for excel charts that look remarkably like that one.

    A box and whisker plot.

This may help you create 1 chart

The image you should has a matrix of charts. Excel will not automatically create a matrix. For that you would need to build the chart with re-calculated data and additional series. Not for the faint hearted.

If you have the original Statistica software and file surely it would be easier to correct and re-create there, given you have a learning curve which ever approach you take.
