    Bar graph: Hide zeros

    Hi all,

I want to autogenerate a timeline using a bar graph from data entered in fixed selected columns.

My problem is that if a row doesnt have any data, the graph should also be updated and remove that row, instead of as in my attached excel file, where if you delete the data from one row you will simply get a blank "row" in the graph.

    Regards

    Welcome to the forum.

When I delete a row (not clear the data) it disappears from the plot entirely, as expected.

    Hi,

Thanks, the forum seems to great for getting excel help!

My problem is that dont want to delete the rows, but just being able to add/delete data from the columns and accordingly hide the "row" in the graph.

You can see the problem in the file I have attached. Sorry for the bad explaination

By the way, I searched the forum and found this posting http://www.excelforum.com/excel-char...o-columns.html which might include a solution, but I wasnt able to download Andy's xls file.

I have applied auto filtering to your data table and filtered out blanks.
