Excel Charting

I have created a bar chart with the order of the bars from left to right in the colors blue, gray, and green. The legend for the bar chart is located on the bottom of the chart with the order of the labels from left to right in the colors green, gray, and blue (reverse order). This is very confusing. I have already tried to change the data series order in the legend by right clicking the data series and going to the order tab. However, as I change the order of the data series in the legend, the order of the bars in the bar chart also change order. So, I just end up with the same problem of having the order reversed (Bars: Green, gray, blue and Legend: Blue, gray, green). Is there another way to make it where the bars in the bar graph are in the exact order of the data series of the legend without messing with the data series in chart options that could possibly lead to a mistake like a name and data value mismatch, or manually creating a legend with text boxes and autoshapes?

Ok, I have figured out why, but I actually now know the real problem. I have actually formatted the axis for the category labels to be in reverse order (necessarily), so the whole column chart flips over, but that means the columns are in reverse order, but the legend stays the same order. So, is there a way to move the legend order to reflect the column order? I just want the x axis categories to go in reverse order, not the actual columns! Please don't tell me I would have to manually create a legend!
