    3-axis plot

    Hi,

I hope you are having a good day. I need some help plotting a graph which i am not sure how to go about doing so.
I am looking to plot a graph with 3 axis i.e. xyz AXIS.

    x-Height
    y-Ergo_Index
    z-Distance

I also want to plot the mean, standard deviation +/- of the Ergo_Index on the same graph.

I have attached the data and would be most greatful if someone could either point me in the right direction or help me plot this and explain how it is done to me.

    Thank you

    Re: 3-axis plot

There is no built-in 3 axis charting. Thoses that appear to have 3 dimensions only have 1 value axis, the others are categories.

You can simulate a 3 axes plot with a scatter chart

    Thanks Andy,

The scatter diagram you provided won't allow me plot as a bar graph and would prefer it as a bar graph.

    Thank you

    Re: 3-axis plot

Yep you are correct a xy-scatter will not plot bars.

As I said there are no true 3 axis charts in excel.
Best you will get is a 3d column but I would not recommend it.

Have you come across the style of chart you are trying to create on the web? if so post a link.
