combination of charts

Dear xperts

i want to create bar and line chart in one graph can it possible to create in combination.... pls explain

create a chart of single type, say bar, then select 1 of the series and chart the chart type to line.

If when you say bar your really mean horizontal bar rather than column then the line chart type will have to be xy-scatter.

why don't you post your example workbook with 2 charts.
1 showing the bar chart then other showing the line then I can see exactly what chart types you are trying to combine.

I have create the combined chart in 3 steps.

Step 1:
Create column chart based on both sets of values.

Step 2:
Move the secondary series to the secondary axis
change the chart type to Line

Step 3:
Specify range for secondary categroy axis
Display secondary category axis

assume your data is just made up as the combination does not make sense.
