Goals Chart

I've made a chart following the guide at http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/GanttChart.html to use for tracking my goals.

The problem I'm having is that if I add a new goal, I have to go and manually adjust parts of the chart like the Top and Right Axis' as well as the vertical error bar that indicates the current date. Can anyone help me figure out a way to do it WITHOUT using a macro so that it updates automatically? If I have to create the chart in another manner that is fine with me.
