Excel Clock type Pie Chart

Hey guys,

Im trying to make a pie chart in Excel that doesnt 'clump' all information on the same type together. Its for a mock up radio broadcast so as an example I have news opening, then some songs followed by a link, rince and repeat.

Everything shows as it should....by that I mean the defaults. It shows all of the data and the legend is corect. What I would like to do is make segments with the same name be all the same colour. So news broadcasts would all be red etc. I can do it all manually but its tedious, there must be a better way?

Any ideas?

Hi Robert,

conditional formatting with Pie charts is not the easiest thing to do. You basically need to lay out your data in a special way. Say, if you have four programming categories (news, ads, music, interviews) and want to show a different colour for each of these, you need four lines for each program item and enter your programm item info only on one of these lines.

It's a bit hard to explain, but I've attached an example with a step by step how to.
