Excel Chart Y Axis Label Format Problem

    Hi guys

I hope someone can help me with something please?

I have an excel chart, horizontal bar one with my y-axis down the left. My labels for the chart are different categories and one is quite long 'Household Stores'. There is plenty of space on the left for it to be on one line but it keeps putting 'Household' at the top and 'Store' below. Even if I make the font tiny so it really should fit on one line, it does the same, is there anything I can do to change this, so it fits on one line?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate any advice.

    Jessica

The formatting of the text within the axis labels is very limited.

But if the text is only a couple of words and you have reduced the font size I would check the cells content to make sure there is not an embedded line feed forcing the text over 2 lines.

If not then do as zbor suggests and post example.
