Need to change series in a bar line chart

I have a chart that has 2 sets of bars (Actual and Variance) and a line for Goal. The series on the bottom shows:

Actual
Variance
Goal

I need it to show
Actual
Goal
Variance

The problem is the the goal is a line and defaults to the bottom.

Is there a way yo correct this?

Its always better to attach a sample file with some hint that what you exactly want......

Assuming your mention is order items in the legent of chart, if so you do concernt about:

the order of items in the legent's chart correspondent with the order of data'columns, therefore, you should change the data's columns and remake the chart with bar-style, after you change serries "Goal" to line-style

Within the legend the order and grouping is determined by the chart type, axis location and plot order of the series.

As suggested post example to help explain your particular problem

I have attached the file. Also is there a way to take out the variance bars from the chart. I just want to show lengend.

Just right click the Goal Series > Format > Data Series > Axis > Secondary Axis ... OK ..see Goal1.jpg

For Goal2 .... select the Secondary Axis and adjust the scale as per goal2.jp

Is it the thing you want ????

I don't believe I was clear. I just want the variance infomation in the legend to be the last row of information (currently it's in the middle). I know why it's happening and that's because the Goal is a line and not a bar.

The second thing is that I don't want to see the Variance Bars (in yellow)

Formatting of the Data table, not legend, is very limited. It displays all the series and you can not exclude or reorder.

If you want a data table best thing to use is cells

You can format the variance series to have no fill or border. You will also want to change the Overlap property of the column series so the Actual columns do not appear offset to the left.

Andy is right about data table but if you don't want to show Variance in Bar but in Data Table yes you can and now you can see the variance in Data Table but not in table ............ Is it the solution you want ??????
