    hiding the % sign

    hello there,

I want to make a bar graph showing percentage values, but without the percentage sign, so that 0.221 displays as 22.1

so far the only way I managed to do so by multiplying the original data by 100, but I bet there's a better way

with number formatting seams easy to divide the number by thousands, but found nothing for my end.

somewhere I saw somthing about ctrl+j but I could not make it work in excel 2007 at least --- any help will be most welcome!

    regards

    Re: hiding the % sign

    bagullo,

no can do with formatting alone. The % format takes care of the multiplication with 100, but if you remove that sign from the format, you'll end up with the decimals again.

So, in short, if you want to chart 22.1 you'll have to give the chart 22.1 as a value.
