Arrow Representing same data points in a scatter plot

I have two data sets that I want to plot on a scatter plot which share some of the same data points (e.g., both have [1,1]). Right now, when I plot the graph, I see only a single dot for [1,1], making it seem like there is only one data point there. I want to be able to show somehow that there are two data points there, such as by making the size of the dot dependent on how many data points are in it.

Is there a way to do this with Excel?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this feature is available in the Mac version, but:

Select each of the data series in turn, and select format data series. In the marker options, select solid fill, and then increase the transparency to over 50%. You should then be able to see one series "through" the other.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

Another option is to use markers that compliment rather than obscure.
So maybe use box and cross both with no background colour.
