    Create a Pie Chart based on Date values entered.

    I need help in creating a formula to have pie chart created based on a date range entered in one tab from data in another tab.

    If you look at the sample attached, I have created a detailed example of what I am wanting to do.

    Is this possible?

    thanks,
    Nick

    maybe something like this:

    B5 =SUMPRODUCT(--('Exception Log'!$E$4:$E$263=B4),--('Exception Log'!B4:B263>$B$2),--('Exception Log'!$B$4:$B$263<=$C$2))

    copy right to B6

    then create the pie chart.

    see attached

    PS: I'll move this to the charting forum

    Always amazed at how you and others can create these formula's.

    Thanks, that worked perfect.

    Re: Create a Pie Chart based on Date values entered.

    I know it wouldn't be a one line formula, but is it possible to create a line chart also based on the date range entered?

    For example the date range would show up on the bottom of the line chart and each department would then be represented on the line chart for any exceptions for that date.

    thanks for any help,
    Nick
